News from the Studio...
Busy Summer Season is Here!
Join me during the 25th Annual North Coast Open Studio Event while I'm
painting of my rose paintings! This is a free community event on June
14th and June 15th from 10AM to 5PM. Artist, Amy Ferron will also be
displaying her beautiful ceramic tiles. To be sure, I'll be choosing
one of her lovely tiles for my garden again this year! The address is
1537 R. Street, Eureka, CA.
My latest paintings have been a joyous, fun series of beach scenes of
the dogs and dog lovers at Moonstone Beach near Trinidad, CA. Dogs
playing, running, and enjoying the freedom of this beautiful beach have
been so much fun to draw and paint. I haven't shown these paintings
before so I am hopeful viewers will enjoy them too!
This past year I have spent much of my time focusing on improving my
painting skills by taking painting classes with an exceptional
artist/teacher, Jennifer Lui.
Recently, I was pleased to be invited to join the Fortuna Arts Council
in Fortuna, CA. I'll be exhibiting with other very talented local
Humboldt County artists.
In the month of July through August, I'll be showing more of my still
life, beach scenes, and especially my rose paintings at the Umpqua Bank
at 1360 Main Street in Fortuna.
I'm looking forward to meeting art lovers during the Open Studio. I
hope anyone that's in the Eureka area on June 14 and June 15 will drop
by for a chat!
